A character with animal ears, real or fake. Also known as kemonomimi.
There are two areas where animal ears are usually placed. On top of the head and on the sides of the head (where a human's ears would be). The first type is much easier to accessorize but anatomically incorrect. The inverse is true for the second type. The first type is most likely to have extra human ears. For the second type, "extra ears" usually means a redundant accessory.
